KCET Counselling  2022

The KCET exam is conducted for the admission of students to various undergraduate programmes such as Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Farm Science courses etc.The admission process is preceded by KCET Counselling which is scheduled after the declaration of KCET result. The schedule for document verification and option entry is given below. The counselling process starts with verification of documents which starts after the results announcements. KCET counselling is done in two parts

  • In offline mode the qualified students will be called for the document verification and seat allotment process. During which the candidates should carry their original documents with multiple attested photocopies.

  • In online mode the candidates should go through the option entry process, where they select courses and institutions according to their priority. After counselling the seats are allotted in the candidate prioritize institutions in online mode.

The schedule for KCET Document Verification can be read below. The candidates must first Register themselves before proceeding for the verification. As it is mentioned below a medical examination/verification will be first conducted for Physically Disabled Special Category Candidates followed by document verification.

Candidate Registration

Every candidate who is assigned a rank (in KCET) must report to the nearest/most convenient helpline centres as per the schedule below. Where they will get registered and get their documents verified. The CET No. will be entered in to the computer by verifying the CET-2021 Admission Ticket and candidate photo printed on the valid Identity Card of the Candidate.

Interaction Session: An Interaction Session will be conducted at all Helpline Centres. At this stage candidates will be briefed about the procedure to be followed by the candidate in exercising options, allotment of seats, payment of fees and reporting to the college. This will be like a training class to the candidates to familiarize themselves on entry of options and procedure to be followed for such entry of options till their admissions to the college

Important instructions for Document Verification

  • Documents should be verified in the helpline centres only. The helpline centres as mentioned earlier is the native district of the candidates or the district where the candidate has passed 2nd PUC / 12 Standard examination. The documents will not beverified in other helpline centers

  • Candidates must verify their original documents

  • One or more discipline – Verification of documents will be done at once for all the disciplines to which the candidate is eligible. If the candidate is eligible for more than one discipline i.e., forMedical / Dental, Engineering, ISM & H, Farm Science, B-Pharm and Pharm-D, 2ndyear B-Pharm (Lateral Entry) then document verification for all the disciplines documents will be done at once.

  • Multiple ranks – If a candidate has got multiple ranks, then he / she can come to the Helpline Centre on the scheduled date as per his / her highest rank either in Medical or Veterinary or ISMH or Engineering or Architecture or Farm University course and need not come again for other ranks in other disciplines.

  • The candidates should NOT attend the verification process based on Agriculturist Quota Rank (Practical Rank).

  • Candidates should compulsorily produce all the required documents in Original with One set of Gazetted Officer attested photocopies of all the original documents and two passport size photographs when they come for document verification at the Helpline Centre.. Failing to produce any of the original documents / certificates /marks card on the day of verification will lead to documents not being verified and incomplete registration process. Subsequently the candidates will not be considered eligible to exercise their options.

  • The candidates who become eligible after verification will only be considered for entry of options for allotment of seats.

  • Candidates have to be personally present in the Helpline Centre as per the schedule for document verification. No one is allowed to represent them.

  • If a candidate has not received the original marks card of Qualifying Examination for 2021 from the concerned boards, then the candidate should obtain the signature of the Principal of the institution where he / she has passed 2nd PU / 12th Standard examination on the provisional marks card. Internet downloaded marks statement printout will not be accepted.

  • KEA will publish the details of eligible candidates on the website http://kea.kar.nic.in at the end of every day after verification.

Documents required during the KCET 2021 counselling process

Candidates will have to carry required original documents along with attested photocopies for verification in the sequential order given below.

  1. The final print out of the CET-2021Online Application Form.

  2. Original Copy of the Chalan for having paid the fees for CET-2021 application fees.

  3. ‘CET2021’ Admission Ticket.

  4. SSLC / 10th Standard Marks Card.

  5. 2nd PUC / 12th Standard Marks Card.

  6. Study Certificate counter signed by the concerned BEO / DDPI.

  7. Two recent passport size photographs.

    The following documents should be produced, “ONLY if applicable”
  8. Income Certificate obtained from Concerned Tahasildar to claim Supernumerary Quota seats

  9. 1st std to 10th std Kannada Medium Study Certificate counter signed by the Concerned BEO for the candidates claiming Kannada Medium reservation benefits.

  10. 1st std to 10th std Rural Study Certificate counter signed by the Concerned BEO and a Verification Certificate (only for GM Candidates)

  11. Caste Certificate / Caste Income Certificate / Income Certificate obtained from the concerned Tahasildar, for the candidates claiming Reservation benefits. (Caste and Income Certificate in Form ‘D’ in case of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and in Form ‘E’ in case of Category-I and a Caste Income Certificate in Form ‘F’ for other backward classes like 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B, issued by the jurisdictional Tahasildar)

  12. Candidates claiming Hyderabad-Karnataka Region Reservation (Article 371 (j)) must submit the Certificate (eligibility certificate–rule 3(3)) issued by theconcerned Assistant Commissioner during document verification

  13. Parent’s study certificate / Parent’s Hometown certificate / Parent’s Domicile certificate / Parent’s Employment certificate / Parent’s Cumulative Record / Parent’s Marks Card, etc., for the candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats based on the domicile / study / employment of the parent.

  14. Duly sworn in Affidavit of the candidate who claims eligibility under Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses.

  15. Identity card issued by the Jurisdictional Deputy Commissioner / District Magistrate / Rehabilitation Commissioner, for the candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats under Jammu & Kashmiri Migrants quota.

Note

Further, candidate belonging to SC, ST and Category-I claiming seat under reserved category shall also produce Income certificate issued by the jurisdictional Tahasildar for verification to become eligible for exemption / reimbursement of fee or allotment of SNQ seats.

Provided further that the candidate shall be eligible to claim caste, category and income benefit only if he has claimed the same in the CET-2021 online application form.

Note On Verification Of Documents

Candidates will have to proceed towards Verification counter/s after registration. The entries of original documents are verified against the computer data which would have been furnished by the candidates in their application forms.

The original documents will be returned to the candidate after verification and KEA will retain one set of attested photocopies of all the documents. An acknowledgement card and a verification slip will be issued to the candidates at the end of verification.

  • Candidates who seek admission to Government seats should compulsorily produce the required documents in Original with one set of attested photocopies of all the original documents and two passport size photographs for verification at the KEA at the time of registration for allotmen tof seats. After verification, only one set of attested photocopies of all the documents will be retained by the KEA and all original documents will be returned to the candidates.

  • Candidates who have been assigned ranks must compulsorily get their original documents verified in the assigned helpline centres in order to be eligible for Option entry for choice of allotment of Professional Course seat.

  • The candidate should be aware of the rank ranges, date and time of verification before coming to the Helpline Centre as no intimation will be sent them individually.

  • Verification of documents will be done at once for all the disciplines to which the candidate is eligible. Once the documents are verified,simultaneously candidate’s eligibility in other discipline will also be verified on the same day.

  • Verification slip will be issued to all the eligible candidates by mentioning the details of the candidates, documents verified, caste category and merit / rank to which discipline he /she is eligible etc. will also be printed on the slip. The candidate before leaving the verification counter has to verify all the details printed on the verification slip and changes if any according to the documents he / she submitted, should be brought to the notice of the verification officer immediately.

  • If any candidate fails to produce any of the documents / certificates / marks card on the day of verification, such candidate’s documents will not be verified and they will not complete their registration process and subsequently will not be considered for eligibility to exercise their options.

  • No changes / claims will be accepted once the documents are verified and verification slip is issued to the candidate for any reason. The candidates are informed to verify the entries printed on the verification slip and the acknowledgement card before leaving the verification counter. If there is any mistake / error report to Verification Officer for correction. The candidate who becomes eligible after verification will only be considered for entry of options and for allotment of seats. All the details printed on the verification slip will be considered for allotment of seats. Eligibility of candidate for consideration of seat allotment totally depends on the production of all supporting documents at the time of verification which inter leads to correctness of data of candidates. Therefore, the candidate is also jointly responsible for ensuring the correctness of the data. No request for alteration of data will be considered under any circumstances at any point of time.

  • If the qualifying marks changes due to any reason after verification of documents, it is the responsibility of candidate to inform the KEA authority for fresh assignment of merit order / rank. As per his / her new merit order and as per the eligibility, the seat allotted based on the previous marks gets cancelled at any stage. Further, the seat allotment made by KEA or by the College shall be subject to approval by the concerned University.

Secret Key

A high security secret key will be given to the candidates who become eligible after verification of documents. This key is used by the candidates to register and create a password as per their choice for login at online option entry portal. Password is essential for candidate’s login, entry of options, change of options, saving and deletion of options and for printing of allotment details.

Note

For any reason secret key and Password should not be made known or revealed to others as it might enable modification / tampering options. The Candidate will solely be responsible for maintaining secrecy of the Password and secret key. KEA will not take any responsibility in this regard. Password is important and shall be held confidentially. It is as important as the PIN of ATM card.

Seat matrix for Government seats

Fee structure and seat matrix will be announced by Government at a later date for the year 2019-20 and the same will be hosted on the KEA Website.

Option Entry

Instructions: The options entered by the candidate for the first round will remain same for all the rounds of seat allotment. The candidates will not be allowed to enter options again. Option Entry done before the first round will be the final list of options. The priority of options entered by the candidate will be shown on the option entry module by obtaining the candidate credentials. Candidate may delete or alter order of higher options. The candidate will be allowed to add new options for any colleges and course that came into the seat matrix after the first round.

Entry of options by candidates

  • Option entry will begin only after the receipt of seat matrix from the Government is received. The details of the College wise, Course wise and Category wise seats available for allotment will be published on the KEA website. The candidate may enter the course / college of his choice from among the seats available which is displayed at the time of entry of options i.e., college wise, category wise and course wise, discipline wise.

  • The candidate will be allowed to enter all the options in the discipline to which he/she is eligible.

  • Candidate shall enter the options for all the discipline at once. If the candidate is eligible for multiple disciplines i.e., both for Medical / Dental and Engineering or for Medical / Dental / Farm Science courses /B.Pharm, options can be exercised for all the discipline in the same entry form.

  • The candidate will have to visit the the website and open the relevant page (Option entry) where he/she has enter their secret key and password to login.

  • Please enter URL or Website address (http://kea.kar.nic.in) or as indicated in the notification. Upon entry of URL you will find link like “UGCET-2021–OPTION ENTRY” and select the links regarding the information on many items.

  • The candidate has to first select the Discipline in the option entry form. Upon selection of a discipline, the entry form display the list of colleges in case of Medical, Dental, Farm Science courses, B.-Pharm, Pharm-D and for Architecture courses.

  • In case of Engineering discipline the entry form display the list of colleges with their engineering courses. The candidate has to enter the priority number in front of the displayed college / course to which they are eligible and interested.

  • There is no limit for entry of options. A Candidate can enter any number of options as he / she wishes to exercise on his / her own priority.

  • Any candidate has to enter the option in the priority as he/she desires. Candidates are advised to do thorough home assignment regarding the choices which they want to exercise, the college which they prefer, the course which they are interested to join etc.

  • A candidate can enter any number of options through Online (Internet) of his choice of College / Colleges and courses in the order of the choice he / she desires to enter either in the Helpline Centres or on his / her own arrangement. Entry of options invited as per the schedule notified by KEA in all newspapers and on the website http://kea.kar.nic.in.

  • he allotment will not proceed to the next rank candidate till the list of your options is completely searched for availability of a seat. The candidate may change the options as many times as he / she desires before the last date and time notified for entry of options. After entry of options candidate has to select the button submit and logout.

  • Options recorded in the server on the last day and time of the notified schedule in each round will be frozen and only the frozen options will be considered for allotment of seats. The candidates are advised to take a print out of the option entered by them in each round after the last date and time for entry of options is over.

Note

Candidates are advised not to start entering the options directly on the online option form on the internet without preparatory work at home on choice of options, as it leads to commission of mistakes /wrong entries / wrong order of preferences.
