Solution:

Kjeldahl’s method depends upon the fact that most of the organic compounds containing nitrogen are quantitatively decomposed to give $\left(\right.NH_{4}\left(\left.\right)_{2}SO_{4}$ when heated strongly with conc. $H_{2}SO_{4}$ . In this method $CuSO_{4}$ acts as catalytic agent.
