The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2022 is an all Indian level examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Through NEET 2022 candidates are going to get admission in MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BSMS, and BUMS courses. Now AIIMS and JIPMER admissions will be done on the basis of NEET. Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India. The NTA is independent autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organisation was established by the Ministry of Human Resource development (MHRD), Government of India (GOI) in 2018 for conducting efficient, transparent and international standard test in order to access the competency of candidates for admission to premier higher education institutions.

  1. NEET exam will be conducted on 17th July 2022 at 2:00 PM - 5:20 PM.

NEET Eligibility Criteria 2022

  1. Minimum Age: Candidates must have completed 17 years as on December 31, 2022.
  2. Maximum Age: Supreme Court has removed Upper Age limit.
  3. Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English from a recognized board.
  4. Maximum Attempts: There is no restrictions on number of attempts.
  5. Nationality: Indian Nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs and Foreign Nationals are eligible to apply.
  6. Qualifying Marks: Qualifying marks in class XII for each category are: General/GEN-EWS- 50%, OBC/SC/ST- 40%, PwD- 45%

NEET Application Form 2022

The online registration for NEET 2022 has been be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The NTA mandates the need for a student to login to their official website nta.ac.in in order to fill the form and submit online. There will not be an offline mode of submission of the form hence a student must stick to the online mode of submission only.
Steps involved in filling the form are as follows-

  1. Step 1: Log on to the NTA official website and click on New Registration.
  2. Step 2: Uploading photo and Signature.
  3. Step 3: Payment of fees through UPI App/ Debit card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ E-wallet.
  4. Step 4: Print out the confirmation page.

NEET Syllabus 2022

NEET 2022 syllabus has been released by NTA. The NEET question paper will be based on this syllabus. The NEET Syllabus 2022 will likely remain same as that of the previous year as notified by NTA

NEET Exam Centres 2022

NEET examination will be pen and paper test conducted on 12th September 2022 by NTA. The examination will be conducted in 2546 exam centres across 155 cities in India. This year, Union Territory of Ladakh has been added as a new exam centre of NEET 2022 and the candidates are supposed to select 4 examination centres according to their convenience. Care will be taken to ensure that the candidate is allotted nearby exam centre or the exam centre city where the candidate currently resides. However, there is no guarantee on that.The exact address of the NEET exam centre will be mentioned on the NEET admit card 2022 which will be issued to the registered candidates from March 27th onwards.

NEET Results 2022

NEET 2022 results has been announced on November 1, NTA has sent the NEET 2022 scorecard to the candidate's registered email ID. NTA will soon publish the results in the online mode.

step 1: Visit the official website of NEET

Step 2: Click on NEET Result under the online tab services.

step 2: Enter your NEET 2022 Roll Number and Date of Birth in the given fields.

step 3: The NEET 2022 result comprising the score card of NEET will be displayed.

step 4: Download the result of NEET 2022 by clicking on ‘Print’ button and then save it.

NEET Cut off 2022

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be releasing NEET 2022 Cut off along with NEET result in the month of June. The cut off for NEET 2022 refers to the minimum marks required to qualify the entrance exam. The NEET 2022 cut off will tell about the qualifying status of a candidate and decide if the candidate is eligible to attend further events of NEET 2022 like counselling and seat allotments. Based on NEET scores and All India Rank (AIR) of the candidates, the counselling authorities will release their respective merit lists and hold admissions to respective courses.

NEET Participating Colleges 2022

NEET 2022 offers wide number of colleges which gives candidates a huge number of options to choose from. NEET aspirants who wants to pursue MBBS/BDS course can go through the list of Medical colleges/Dental colleges and the Universities they belong to and choose the college of their wish. About 355 medical colleges and 125 dental colleges have NEET scores as a basis for admission.

  • NEET results will be applicable to all colleges throughout India except JIPMER and AIIMS which conduct their own exams.
  • Candidates aspiring UG courses in AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy), must appear for NEET.

NEET Counselling 2022

NEET 2022 Counselling will commence from the second week of October 2022 i.e. after the results are declared. First and foremost, candidates should register for counselling and fill their preferences. Candidates must note that state level counselling will be organized separately by the respective state authorities.

Steps involved in counselling are as given below-

Step 1- Click on ‘New Registration’ in the official MCC website. Fill in all the details to get your new login credentials.

Step 2- Using the above generated credentials, log on to the same website.

Step 3- Fill in the details asked on the page after logging in and click submit.

Step 4- A page containing the necessary details will appear as per the NTA database. Verify the information and click on ‘Confirm Registration’. A Registration Slip will be generated. Candidates need to take a printout of this page and preserve for further use.

NEET Reservation 2022

NEET UG 2022 follows reservation policy, which caters several seats to various categories. All admissions to MBBS/BDS courses within the respective categories shall be based solely on marks obtained in the NEET (UG).

An All India Merit List of the qualified candidates shall be prepared based on All India Rank in the Merit List of the NEET (UG) - 2022 and candidates shall be admitted to MBBS/BDS Courses from the said list only by following the already existing reservation policy.

NTA will provide All India Rank. Admitting Authorities will invite applications for counselling and merit list shall be drawn based on All India Rank by the Admitting Authorities. Admission to MBBS/BDS Courses within the respective categories shall be based solely on All India Rank as per merit list of NEET (UG) - 2022.
