Daniel cell is an electrochemical cell in which Cu act as cathode and Zn act as anode.
In Daniel cell :
(i) Electron flow from the Zn anode to Cu cathode and direction of current flow is reverse i.e., Cu (cathode) to Zn (anode).
(ii) The cell reaction is Zn+Cu2+⟶Zn2++Cu
Thus Cu2+ ions (cations) move towards Cu electrode (cathode) and get accumulated as Cu metal.
