Law of segregation states that during gamete formation the allele segregate from each other and during gamete formation only one allele enters each gamete. This segregation of allele occurs due to separation of chromosomes during meiosis. The alleles do not show any blending and that both the characters are recovered as such in the F2 generation though one of these is not seen at the F1 stage.
