engineering. DNA molecules are broken down to smaller
segments by means of restriction endonucleases. They break
DNA at specific sites called restriction sites. The enzymes are
obtained from bacteria such as EcoRI from Escherichia coli,
BamHl from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens.
