$V_z=V_2=6V$
Let the potential difference across $R_1$ is $V_1$ , then
$16=V_1+6$
$V_1=10V$
$I_1{R}_1=10$
$I_1=\frac{10}{1000}=0.01A$
$I_2{R}_2=6V$
$I_2=\frac{6}{1000}=0.006A$
$I=0.01-0.006=0.004A=4mA$
