The benzene ring to which NH group is directly attached is activated for the attack of Br+ electrophile, as –NH group is ring activating due to +R effect. The ring to which C=O group is directly attached is deactivated towards electrophilic substitution. As C=O group is ring deactivating due to –R effect in addition the NH group is ortho-para directing but para position is favourable for the attack of Br+ . Hence, the product formed is as follows
