Dicotyledonae (Plants contain two cotyledons in their seed) was divided into three subclasses namely Polypetalae, Gamopetalae and Monochlamydae. Polypetalae is further divided into three series – Thalamiflorae-with 6 cohort or orders Disciflorae -with 4 cohorts and Calyciflorae- with 5 cohort.
