Thus, CH 3 underset overset|HC HOH , CH 3- underset overset|HO - CH 3, CH 3- underset overset|CH3CHOH give iodoform when warmed with I 2 and NaOH . Remember, NaOI xidises CH 3 CH 2 OH to CH 3 CHO, thus it gives positive iodoform test.)
