Horizontal velocity of plane $=720km/hr$
$=200m/s$.
Time taken by bomb to reach the surface
$y=\frac{1}{2}g{t}^2$
$t^2=\frac{2y}{g}=\frac{2\times 490}{9.8}$
$t^2=100\sec ;t=10\sec$
In this time interval horizontal distance travelled by bomb
$=v_x\times t=200\times 10=2000m$
