Solution:

Jute (Corchorus capsularis) belongs to family-Tiliaceae. It is mostly cultivated in West Bengal. The plants are slender, tall, annual shrubs. The fibres are pale yellow in colour, sikly in luster and often reach upto the length of $6-8$ feet. They are used for making gunny bags, packing cloths, carpets etc.
