When $100\, g$ of ethylene polymerises entirely to polyethene, the weight of polyethene formed as per the equation, $nCH _{2}= CH _{2} \rightarrow\left( CH _{2}- CH _{2}\right) n$ is $100\, g$, because entire mass of ethylene is converted to polyethylene as there is no addition, elimination or condensation of simple molecules.
