Electronic configuration of
${ }_{24} Cr =1 s^{2}, 2 s^{2}, 2 p^{6}, 3 s^{2}, 3 p^{6}, 4 s^{1}, 3 d^{5}$
Given, azimuthal quantum number $(l)=1 \Rightarrow p$ -orbital azimuthal quantum number $(l)=2$
$\Rightarrow d$ -orbital. So, number of electrons in $p$ -orbital $=12$ and number of electrons in d-orbital $=5$.
