Q. The molality (in $mol \,kg ^{-1}$ ) of $1$ mole of solute in $50\, g$ of solvent is

TS EAMCET 2019

Solution:

Given,

Moles of solute $(n)=1 \,mol$

Mass of solvent $\left(w_{A}\right)=50\, g$

$\because$ Molality $(m)=\frac{n \times 1000}{w_{A}(\text { in } g)}$

$\therefore m=\frac{1000}{50}=20 \,mol\, kg ^{-1}$
