When $C _{6} H _{5} CN$ reacts with $Na / EtOH , C _{6} H _{5} CN$ undergo for reduction and $-C \equiv N$, changes to $- CH _{2}- NH _{2}$

When $ C _{6} H _{5} CN$ reacts with (i) $HCl$ (conc. cold) and (ii) $Br _{2} / KOH$, it gives corresponding primary amine with one $C$ -atom less, as in parent formula (using Hoffmann-Bromamide degradation reaction). Thus, the final product is
