Solution:

The given circuit having parallel and series combination of resistance so we can calculate,
as $R_1 = 3 + 3 = 6 \Omega$
as $R_2 = 3 + 3 = 6 \Omega$
$\frac {1}{R_3}= \frac {1}{R_1} + \frac {1}{R_2} = \frac {1}{6} + \frac {1}{6}$
$\Rightarrow \, \, \, \, R_3 = 3\Omega$
and $\, \, \, \, \, \, \, R_4 = 3\Omega$
$\frac {1}{R}= \frac {1}{R_3} + \frac {1}{R_4} = \frac {1}{3} + \frac {1}{3}= \frac {2}{3}$
or $ \, \, \, \, \, \, \, \, \, \, \, \, \, R = 1.5 \Omega$
