$\left(\right.i\left.\right)$ Fragmentation $\left(A\right)$ Degradation of detritus by bacterial and fungal enzymes
$\left(\right.ii\left.\right)$ Leaching $\left(B\right)$ Precipitation of water-soluble nutrients as unavailable salt
$\left(\right.iii\left.\right)$ Catabolism $\left(C\right)$ Break down of detritus into smaller particles

Solution:

Fragmentation, leaching, and catabolism are important steps of decomposition. Fragmentation is the process of breakdown of detritus, consisting of remains of dead plants and animals, into smaller particles by detrivores like an earthworm. The water-soluble inorganic nutrients obtained from the process of decomposition get precipitated as unavailable salts. This process is known as leaching. Degradation of detritus into simpler inorganic substances by bacterial and fungal enzymes is called catabolism.
