Solution:

According to KVL
$12=10 \times 10^{3} \times I_{E}+V_{E B} \left\{V_{E B}=0\right\} $
$\Rightarrow I_{E}=1.2 mA$
But, $I_{E} \simeq I_{C}$
$\Rightarrow 10=5 \times 10^{3} \times 1.2 \times 10^{-3}+V_{C B} $
$\Rightarrow V_{C B}=4 V$
