Solution:

Potential is same for resistors connected in parallel.
In the given circuit diagram, $4 \Omega$ and $5 \Omega$ resistors are connected in parallel, hence potential drop across each is $10 V$.
From Ohms law $V=I R$
where $I$ is current and $R$ is resistance.
$\therefore I=\frac{V}{R}=\frac{10}{5}=2 A$
