Q. In an electromagnetic wave,
$E=1.2 \sin \left(2 \times 10^{6} t-k x\right) N / C$
If the value of intensity of magnetic field is $\frac{1}{x \pi}\left( A m ^{-1}\right)$, then find $x$.

Electromagnetic Waves

Solution:

$c B_{0}=E_{0}$
$B_{0}=\frac{E_{0}}{c}=\frac{1.2}{3 \times 10^{8}}=\mu_{0} H$
$\Rightarrow H_{0}=\frac{B_{0}}{\mu_{0}}=\frac{1.2}{3 \times 10^{8} \times 4 \pi \times 10^{-7}}$
$H_{0}=\frac{10^{-2}}{\pi} A m ^{-1}$
