Given, $\beta =1mm=\left(D \lambda / d\right)$ Distance of 1 st bright fringe from the centre
$x_{n}=2n\left(\frac{D \lambda }{2 d}\right)$
For first bright fringe,
So $x_{1}=\left(\frac{D \lambda }{d}\right)=\frac{D \lambda }{d}=1mm$
