Q. If the earth were to rotates faster than its present speed, the weight of an object will

Gravitation

Solution:

At the equator, $g^{\prime}=g-R \omega^2$
As $\omega$ increases, $g^{\prime}$ decreases and hence weight decreases.
At the pole, $g^{\prime}=g$.
So weight remain unchanged.
