Q. If the bulk modulus of water is $2100\,M\,Pa,$ then speed of sound in water is (take the density of water, $\rho =1000\,kg\,m^{- 3}$ )

Solution:

Speed of sound in water is given by,
$v=\sqrt{\frac{B}{\rho }}$
$\therefore v=\sqrt{\frac{2100 \times 10^{6}}{1000}}=\sqrt{2 .1 \times 10^{6}}$
or $v=1.45\times 10^{3}=1450\,ms^{- 1}$
