Solution:

Since, p and q are the roots of the equation
$ {{x}^{2}}+pq=(p+1)x $
or $ {{x}^{2}}-(p+1)x+pq=0 $
$ \therefore $ $ p+q=(p+1) $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ q=1 $
