Q. For spontaneous reaction or the reaction at equilibrium which of the following is wrong?

Delhi UMET/DPMTDelhi UMET/DPMT 2006

Solution:

For a reaction to be spontaneous on the reaction at equilibrium:
$\Delta H=-v e \Delta S=+v e$
$\Delta G=\Delta H-T \Delta S=-v e$
So, $ \Delta H < T \Delta S$,
reaction is exothermic and $T \Delta S$ is $+ ve$ statement is wrong
