Q.
Compared to the mass of lightest nucleus mass an electron is only:
Haryana PMTHaryana PMT 2002
Solution:
Mass of electron $\left(m_{e}\right)=9.1 \times 10^{-31} kg$.
Highest nucleus is of hydrogen.
Mass of H-nucleus $m_{H}=1.67 \times 10^{-27} kg$
$\frac{m_{e}}{m_{H}}=\frac{9.1 \times 10^{-31}}{1.67 \times 10^{-27}}$
$=\frac{1}{1800}$ (approx)
