Q. Bond dissociation on energy of $Cl_{2}$ is $240 \, k J / m o l$ . The longest wavelength of photon that can break this bond would be $\left[N_{A} = 6 \times 10^{23} , \, h = 6.6 \times 10^{- 34} \, J / s\right]$

Solution:

$E=N_{A}\times \frac{h C}{\lambda }$

$240\times 10^{3}=\frac{6 \times 10^{23} \times 6 \cdot 6 \times 10^{- 34} \times 3 \times 10^{8}}{\lambda }$

$\lambda =4.95\times 10^{- 7} \, m$
