Solution:

The p-side of p-n junction is taken at higher potential than n-side so, p-n junction is forward biased. Taking its resistance to be zero and appiying Ohm's law.
$ \, \, \, \, \, \, \, I=\frac{V}{R} =\frac{5-2}{300} =10^{-2}A$
$ \, \, \, \, \, \, \, \, =10^{-2} \times 10^{3} mA$
$ \, \, \, \, \, \, \, =10 mA$
