Q. An ideal monoatomic gas expands to twice its original volume such that its pressure $P \propto \frac {1}{V^{5/3}}$ where V is the volume, the molar heat capacity of the gas is

Solution:

$PV^{5/3} = constant $
$C = C_v - \frac {R}{N-1} = \frac {3}{2}R - \frac{R}{\frac{5}{3}-1}= Zero$
