Q. An ideal gas occupies a volume of $2\,m^3$ at a pressure of $3 \times 10^6\, Pa$. The energy of the gas is:

JEE MainJEE Main 2019Kinetic Theory

Solution:

Energy $ = \frac{1}{2} nRT = \frac{f}{2} PV $
$ = \frac{f}{2} \left(3\times10^{6}\right)\left(2\right) $
$ = f\times3 \times10^{6}$
Considering gas is monoatomic i.e. $ f = 3 $
$ E . = 9 \times10^{6} J $
