Solution:

If the distance from one end is x then
$\left(50 - x\right)1=x\left(0.25\right)=\frac{x}{4}$
$200-4x=x\Rightarrow x=40 \, cm$
$\therefore $ Length on the table $=100-40=60 \, cm$
