Q. A rod of length $20\, cm$ is rotating with angular speed of $100$ revolutions per minute in a magnetic field of strength $0.5\, T$. What is the potential difference between two ends of the rod?

Electromagnetic Induction

Solution:

$ V=\frac{1}{2} B L^{2} \omega$
$=\frac{1}{2} \times \frac{1}{2} \times(0.2)^{2} \times 2 \pi \times \frac{100}{60}=\frac{2 \pi}{60}=0.105 V$
