Q. A plane is flying horizontally at $98m/s$ and releases an object which reaches the ground in $10$ sec. The angle made by object while
hitting the ground is :

Solution:

horizontal component of velocity of object
$V_{H}=98m/s$
And vertical component $v_{v}=0+gt$
$=9.8\times 10=98m/s$
as $V_{H}=v_{v}$
so angle made by object while hitting the ground $=45^\circ $
$tan\theta =\frac{v_{v}}{v_{H}}=1\Rightarrow \theta =45^\circ $
