Q. A parallel AC circuit is shown below with $R_{1}=R_{2}=R$ and $X_{L}=X_{C}=X$. An AC source is connected across the circuit as shown in the figure. The rms value of potential difference $V_{A}-V_{B}$ is $\frac{V_{0}}{\sqrt{n}}$. Find $n .(X=R)$Physics Question Image

Alternating Current

Solution:

$V_{A}=\frac{V_{0} X_{L}}{\sqrt{R^{2}+X^{2}}} \sin (\omega t+\phi)$
$V_{B}=\frac{V_{0} X_{C}}{\sqrt{R^{2}+X^{2}}} \sin (\omega t-\phi)$
