Solution:

A point mutation in which a change of a single nucleotide results in a codon for a different amino acid is called a missense mutation. Change in the first base of a codon results in a change in the entire codon as genetic code is degenerate in nature. Due to this, the amino acid changes and so does the nature of the entire protein.
