Q. A horizontal force $F$ is applied to a frictionless pulley of mass $m_{2}$. The horizontal surface is smooth. The acceleration of the block of mass $m_{1}$ is $n$ times the acceleration of the pulley. The value of $n$ isPhysics Question Image

Laws of Motion

Solution:

image
$T \delta x_{1}-2 T \delta x_{2}=0$
$\Rightarrow \frac{\delta^{2} x_{1}}{d t^{2}}=\frac{2 \delta^{2} x_{2}}{d t^{2}}$ or $a_{1}=2 a_{2}$
If $a_{1}=n \cdot a_{2} \Rightarrow n=2$
