Solution:
$i=\frac{N o r m a l m o l a r m a s s}{O b s e r v e d m o l a r m a s s}$
$=\frac{164}{65.6}=2.5$
$\alpha =\frac{i - 1}{n - 1}$
$n=3$ (number of ions)
$\alpha = \frac{2.5 - 1}{3 - 1} = \frac{1.5}{2} = 0.75$
So percentage ionization of $MX_{2}$ will be 75%.
