Q. A certain current liberate 0.5 g of hydrogen in 2 h. How many grams of copper can be liberated by the same current flowing for the same time in a copper sulphate solution ?

Electrochemistry

Solution:

$\frac{\text { W eight of } H _{2}}{\text { Ew of } H _{2}}=\frac{\text { W eight of } Cu }{\text { Ew of } Cu }$
$\frac{0.5}{1}=\frac{ x }{63.5 / 2}$
$\therefore x =15.875 g \approx 15.9 g$
