Q. A bulb is emitted electromagnetic radiation of 660 nm wave length. The Total energy of radiation is 3 x 10-18 J The number of emitted photon will be : (h = 6.6 × 10-34 Js, C = 3×108 m/s)

AIIMSAIIMS 2019Structure of Atom

Solution:

Number of photons = n
E $=\frac{hc}{\lambda}$
$3\times10^{-18}=\frac{6.6\times10^{-34}\times3\times10^{8}\times n}{660\times10^{-9}}$
$n=\frac{30}{3}=10$
