(a & c) Zygotic meiosis is characteristic of lower plants like algae and fungi. Meiosis is reduction division that occurs after formation of zygote by fusion of two haploid gametes. By meiosis, a diploid cell is reduced to haploid cell which father develops into haploid plant.
