Solution:

When spectrum of an element is observed in the influence of magnetic field, the spectrum lines split into more lines. This effect is called Zeeman effect. The reason of this splitting of spectrum lines, is the presence of orbitals within a sub-shell, due to which an electron can transist not only in different sub-shells but also in different energy levels of orbitals in magnetic field.
