The first compound of noble gas is $XePt{F}_6$ and was discovered by Neil Bartlett. First, he prepared a red compound which is formulated as $O_2^{+}Pt{F}_6^{-}$ . He, then realised that the first ionisation enthalpy of molecular oxygen was almost identical with that of xenon. Based on this he was successful in preparing another red colour compound $X{e}^{+}Pt{F}_6^{-}$ by mixing $Pt{F}_6$ and xenon.
