Solution:

A neuron is an electrically excitable cell that processes and transmits information by electrical and chemical signaling and it can be of three types i.e. sensory, motor, and mixed. Sensory neurons carry sensory impulses from the sensory organ to the central nervous system and are known as sensory neurons while motor neurons are those neurons that carry motor impulses from the CNS to the effector system or organ. A total of 12 cranial nerves are found which arise from the brain. Out of which 5 cranial nerves are entirely motor in function i.e. Cranial nerve III, IV, VI, XI, XII. Abducens nerve is the sixth cranial nerve and it is motor in function.
It provides transmission to the lateral rectus muscle that helps in the movement of the eyeball laterally. The origin of the abducens nerve is medulla oblongata.
The optic is the second cranial nerve and it is a sensory nerve that arises from the back of the eyeball. The olfactory nerve is the first cranial nerve and it is also the sensory nerve. Auditory is VIII cranial nerve and it is also a sensory nerve.
