Ex situ conservation is an offsite strategy for conservation of animals and plants in the zoological park and botanical gardens respectively. Wildlife safari parks are used for the ex situ conservation of threatened animals and plants. They are taken out from their natural habitat and placed in special settings. Here they are protected and given special care.
