Solution:

The human excretory system consists of a pair of kidneys, a pair of ureters, urinary bladder, and urethra. The urethra is the opening through which urine gets released out of the body. It is of different lengths in males and females. It is around 20 cm in males and 4 cm in females. It shows the presence of two sphincters that control the flow of urine. These are internal and external sphincters (sphincters are openings made up of circular muscles). The internal sphincter is involuntary as it is made up of smooth muscles while external sphincters are voluntary as it is made up of skeletal muscles.
