Lysosomes are derived from Golgi bodies, forming a membrane bound vesicular structure. The isolated lysosomal vesicles have been found to be very rich in hydrolytic enzymes optimally active at the acidic pH. Since these enzyme can direct the process of cell death, lysosome is also called as 'suicidal bag'. Therefore, statements III and IV are incorrect.
