Basic Fuchsin involves in staining of human chromosomes, elastic fibres, cardiac or skeletal muscles. Methylene green used to stain nuclei, golgi bodies and pectic substances. Carmine is the basic dye used to stain nucleic acid and chromosomes and imparts pink colour to them. Safranin is used as a counterstain in gram staining and endospore staining .
