Trichomoniasis: Trichomonas vaginalis is a protozoan parasite that causes trichomoniasis in both males and females. Vagina with foul smell, yellow-coloured vaginal discharge and burning sensation are some of the symptoms in females. Urethritis epididymitis, prostatitis resulting in pain and burning sensation are some of the symptoms seen in males. GONORRHOEA: It is a type of sexually transmitted disease caused by a gonococcus bacterium called Neisseria gonorrhoeae. This disease is transmitted from infected person to normal persons through sexual contact and also from infected mother to newborn baby through placenta during pregnancy.
CHLAMYDIASIS: It is type of sexually transmitted disease caused by a bacterium Chlamydia trachomatis. TREATMENT: It is treated by using antibiotic drugs like erythromycin, azithromycin, tetracycline, chloromycetin, spiramycin etc. Enterobiasis is contracted by the ingestion of the eggs of pinworms, which may be carried on fingernails, clothing, or bedding. The eggs may also be inhaled via dust. The infection may be transmitted from one person to another by hand-to-mouth contact with contaminated food or objects.
