Solution:

Androecium, made up of stamens, is the male reproductive whorl of a flower. A stamen has two main parts:
1. The Filament is the long, slender, protruding part which supports the anther lobes. The filament at its base is present on the thalamus, petal, rarely sepal or tepals.
2. Anther is a sac-like structure. There are two anther lobes, so the anther is called bilobed or dithecous. Each lobe has two locules or pollen chambers or microsporangia. Thus, typical anther is bilobed, tetralocular. The two lobes (or theca) are separated by longitudinal groove.
Inside the locules, there are pollen grains, which are derived from PMC or pollen mother cell (also called microspore mother cell or MMC). Pollen grains represents the minute male gametophyte of Angiosperms.
Rarely, an anther lobe may have one microsporangium. Such flowers have two lobed anthers with two locules in total, and the condition is called bisporangiate or bilocular anther (like Wolffia).
